The purpose of the 2nd Chance Animal Rescue of Richmond, Inc. food bank is to keep animals at home with their families as well as providing information on and encouraging low/no cost spay and neuter services.  We believe that by providing food at low or no cost to those in need, we will be able to achieve the following goals:

  • Reduce the number of owner surrendered animals
  • Decrease the emotional stress related to being unable to feed animals
  • Reduce the number of euthanized animals due to overcrowded shelters
  • Increase the number of spayed/neutered animals in Wayne county and the surrounding areas, thereby decreasing the number of homeless animals
  • Preserve the relationship between guardians and their animals


HOURS - Every 3rd Saturday of the month from 10am - 2pm


LOCATION - 2905 US 35 N


COST - A minimum donation of $1 is requested for use of the food bank items. This will allow us to continue offering the food bank to people in need.
